About me
An award-winning horticulturist and seasoned educator, Wayne Gruber has spent over four decades contributing to the green industry. His career spans diverse roles, including designer, retailer, and national speaker, all built upon a foundation of a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University. In 2001, Wayne's vision led to the creation of Gardens on the Prairie, an endeavor that was honored with the Indiana Nursery & Landscape Association Garden Center Green Excellence Award twice. After merging his business with Niemeyer Landscape Supply, he now manages its green center in Crown Point. In recognition of his lasting impact on the field, Wayne received the prestigious Award of Merit from the Indiana Nursery & Landscape Association in 2022.
